(KRON) -- Like the song says, another one bites the dust.
Alameda has lost another bar beloved by craft beer fans. The Boathouse, a favorite among locals with a convenient mid-Island location, announced via an Instagram story Thursday that it was closing.
"After much consideration, we are saddened that Boathouse has closed its doors," the post read. "We want to sincerely thank our incredible staff, loyal customers, friends and the entire community for your support over the years."

"The friendships, memories, and experiences we've shared will always mean so much to us. Thank you for being part of the Boathouse journey. We are truly grateful for every one of you," the post concluded.
The Boathouse boasted "Alameda's best selection of craft beer and wine for here and to go" according to its Yelp page. Although it didn't have a kitchen, the Boathouse also served light food and bar bites.
Reviews on Yelp praised the Clement Street establishment as a "neighborhood dive bar in the best possible way," and a "great bar" with a "nice beer list" and a "chill, friendly, and awesome" vibe.
No reason for the abrupt closure was given.
The Boathouse's closure comes less than two weeks after The Rake Pub and Admiral Maltings Malthouse on Alameda Point also closed.
